Whenever you are searching for a profitable keyword it is always very exciting when you actually find some keywords that will get literally thousands of new searches every single month, but also that is exactly what often leads many new online marketers in to the biggest mistake that has been often mentioned in the IM world.

This big mistake is that many simply assume that one should almost always then target these same keywords that all have the highest number of searches each day or month, but that is wrong!

Unfortunately this is a really bad idea and this is because this number of actual searches that a particular keyword phrase gets each day only really tells you one half of a much bigger story and you need all the information for the full picture.

The second and other important half of this story is exactly how many other web masters out there are actually also competing as well to get that very same traffic from that very same keyword. This means you will be fighting against them for search engine position and that may be hard to get.

So guys simply in other words this means that you really do need to carefully evaluate both the overall daily traffic potential to your site as well as the real competition online that is also targeting each same keyword phrase as you will be.

This really is a simple but often overlooked concept and it means that if you only try to actually target all the high traffic keyword phrases without additional research then you will more than probably have a really hard time actually getting any relevant traffic at all to your website or bog.

And this is just because your blog posts or web site pages simply will not rank at all well in the search engines for any of these high competition keywords and you will be very disappointed!

But if on the other hand you actually pick some good keyword phrases that actually have some lower traffic levels but also lower competition levels too then you really will not get some much traffic to your site each day, but then at least you will have some success as there will be some traffic to your sites that you can make money from!
